Today the kindergarten students participated in the pumpkin tour at Thiessen Orchards. The students learned about the life cycle of the pumpkin from a tiny seed to a large pumpkin. They learned that the pumpkin is actually a fruit and that there are many different kinds. The tour lady said that our students were great listeners! We then took a tour of the orchard in a wagon pulled by a tractor. We saw a number or pumpkin patches and the apple orchard. At the pick you own pumpkin patch, Ms. Colaluca raced to find the largest pumpkin compared to Mrs. Buzzeo's class. We won! Ours was the largest and heaviest. The students then went into the pumpkin patch to pick their own pumpkin. After lunch the students spent the afternoon in Pete's Fun Acre, Hay Mow and Corn Maze. Thank you to all the parents that helped our class. Great fun was had by all.
