Today the students worked on their math skills by working with a partner while doing math work stations. The students were exploring concepts such as patterning, counting, number recognition and addition skills through the use of games and activities. During math work stations the students rotate to a different station (math work box) each day while working on different activities in their box. The students explore math concepts that have previously been taught in class during whole group time. The students will explore the activities in their assigned math work box for 7-10 minutes every other day. On opposite days the students work on literacy work stations exploring concepts such as letter recognition, word work, writing, reading and listening to stories.
