2.4 use technological problem-solving skills and knowledge
acquired from previous investigations, to design and build a structure for a specific purpose.
2.6 use a variety of forms to communicate with different audiences and for a variety of purposes. (Students had to orally explain their choices of materials, fasteners and design decisions when presenting their structures.)
The students also had to incorporate in decorating the traps their knowledge of what would attract a leprechaun through our study of leprechaun literature and observation of student trap samples from the internet.
All the students were very proud of their creations even though we have not caught any leprechauns in class and are still hoping that they can catch one with their traps at home.
