During the last two art classes the students have been working on art paintings inspired by the work of Jim Dine. who often would use a heart motif in his paintings. The students did their paintings in two stages. Stage one was a basic colour block of the center heart and borders. Stage two involved painting different types of designs and colours onto their colour blocked paintings. Each piece of work turned out to be truly unique to the student artist. As a final part of their painting the students will discuss what they liked, what they could have done better and what they want to call their artwork.
