In order for the students to understand the importance of brushing their teeth we completed a class eggsperiment using hardboiled eggs (teeth) and pop (food). The students first hypothesised what would happen when you put hardboiled eggs in a container of pop. Then we did the experiment and the students made observations about what they were seeing when the eggs were in the pop. After a day the eggs were taken out of the pop. The students questioned whether they could clean the eggs (teeth) with toothpaste. Students were given toothpaste, water and a toothbrush to see if they could clean the eggs, which had turned brown in the pop. Their conclusion was YES THEY COULD!
